Merleau-Ponty's writings on perception are of significant value to my practice. Looking at experience through the body or what Merleau-Ponty deemed the 'absolute source' runs throughout my work.

 

Primary World

Our bodily experience of movement is not a particular case knowledge; it provides us with a way of access to the world and the object, with a 'praktognosia' (practical knowledge) which has to be recognized as original and perhaps as primary.

My practice examines and creates procedure for accessing the phenomenal domain and a means for expressing and validating this within a community.
