TOGETHER

As human beings we are more social than ever when it comes to our remote networks and communications. My practice looks to fill the void that has opened in the wake of our heightened digital sharing and place species-identity back in a live and physical environment.

With reference to antagonism, my work values the limits of social environments and questions the validity of the remote network in recognising these.

"Its dialectical, linear structure failed to account for the complexities that develop through cooperation" (Sennett, R. Together, 2013)

By placing participants in a physical situation I am not searching for a sentimental relational utopia but creating an encounter that examines a relationship in detail and embraces the difficulties in being oneself and together with others. This would be explored in Paid Opportunity with the assembled group radio broadcast in response to the individual physical auditions.
